Owlcrate Unboxing: February 2016 – Sci-fi

Owlcrate Unboxing - Header I just got my first Owlcrate today! For those of you who don’t know, Owlcrate is a monthly YA subscription service. Every month you get one new Young Adult novel (usually in hardcover format and almost always released within the last 45 days) along with 3-5 bookish items that book nerds like us adore. These additional items can be things like bookmarks, jewelry, book bags, and so much more. Owlcrates are $29.99+shipping. You can get your own Owlcrate here.

I have known about Owlcrate since they came out, but never wanted to sign up for one. The idea of being sent a book that I didn’t pick out myself wasn’t something that sat too well with me. I’m a huge mood reader, so picking books out is already hard enough as it is. I decided to give it a try anyway and thought I would post my unboxings.

Theme: Sci-Fi

    Contents:
  • A Lunar Chronicles tote bag (photo on my instagram because I forgot it in the main one)
  • “The Love That Split The World” by Emily Henry (Hardcover)
  • “The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells (Paperback) printed from Rock, Paper, Books
  • Rock, Paper, Books discount code
  • Note and Autographed sticker from Emily Henry
  • Carved Wood Tardis magnetic bookmark from Vector Engraving

For being my first crate, this was really nice. “The Love That Split The World” looks really interesting. I generally don’t like Sci-Fi, but it actually might be something I want to read. I’m already really excited for my next Owlcrate! The March theme is “Writer’s Block” so sign up for your own Owlcrate before they sell out!
